abc27, part of Nexstar Media Inc., is seeking a talented and motivated News Photographer to join our team in the York County Bureau. This full-time position is primarily based in York County, PA, where you will play a critical role in capturing compelling visual content that drives our news coverage. As a News Photographer, you will work closely with reporters and producers to shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality video and photography for both on-air broadcasts and digital platforms. Essential Duties:

• Shoot video for news reports, ensuring high-quality visuals that align with story needs.
• Collaborate with reporters, producers, and other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics, and shot requirements.
• Set up, compose, and execute video shots in the field, ensuring coverage of all angles and necessary footage.
• Maintain video equipment in good working condition, ensuring functionality and readiness for use in all situations.
• Edit video clips for television broadcasts and digital platforms, ensuring timely delivery of polished content.
• Operate live microwave and satellite trucks in remote locations, ensuring smooth broadcast during live events.
• Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the efficient operation of the newsroom.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
• Minimum of two years of experience operating video recording equipment (experience may vary based on market size).
• Proficiency with video recording equipment and editing software.
• Familiarity with office equipment such as computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
